Breeds: Anatolian Sheperd, Akbash, Livestock Guardian Dogs (LGD)
576 Firehall Rd., Ontario

Our male is purebred Akbash LGD (Livestock Guardian Dog).  Our female is purebred Anatolian Shepherd LGD.  Our puppies are hybrids that get the best of both parents.

Our LGD's are ideal for farmers to guard their livestock (sheep, goats, poultry, alpacas, horses, etc.) from hungry predators (eg. bear, wolves, coyotes, foxes, raccoons, skunks, human rustlers, etc.).

With the long heavy coat of the Akbash, the dogs are OK with cold Canadian winters, easily enjoying -42 deg C and blizzard conditions.  The dogs will normally live with the animals they are guarding, with no special care other than feeding.

Puppies are available after 10 weeks of age.  Puppies cannot guard your animals, but once 1 to 2 years old, they are a powerful protection force.  Predators will choose to go elsewhere for their meals rather than risking an encounter with an LGD.  In that way, the farmer's pocket is protected, the livestock are not worried or molested, and the wildlife can co-exist with farming.

For an added fee, we can pre-train your puppy with sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, or turkeys.

We offer a detailed training manual for all our owners, plus lifetime support via phone & email.

If your farm is currently under attack by predators, we have adult dogs for sale or lease until your puppy is available.
